Under the funds of the European project H2020 Shapes, in ARCO Research Group we are working in the develop of a fall detection system that allow to detect if an elderly person has fallen, in order to assist him as soon as possible. This system conssist in a 9-AXIS IMU (Intertial Measure Unit) which enable us to record the required data, concretely the Mbientlab MetamotionR sensor, an algorithm that extract some features from the data and a trained model that detect if this features corresponds to a fall or not.
